The secrets to an effective day in the workplace
We all need to admit that at the end of the day, after spending hours on a tedious advertising campaign… after a set of yet other instructions from your boss… after all the tight deadlines that you need to meet – going to the workplace remains one of men’s major responsibilities. Given this, ensuring that the nine hours you spend at the office become productive is a highly necessary. We have asked a few self-confessed workaholics about their secrets to a top notch career. Here are some of their answers:
- Keep a clean work desk. Some confessed of being too picky about cleaners. The good thing about this
is that most of our workaholics clearly understood the benefits of green cleaning products over commercial ones. The logic is pretty simple. You want your clean and clutter-free desk but you don’t want to put your health to risk. - Technically, keeping a work desk clean is different from keeping a work desk tidy. More than just keeping a clean desk, as instructed in No.1, ensuring that you have a clutter-free working table is necessary as well. Your view can bring in a variety of distractions – emotional, intellectual, mental, etc. For instance, seeing a desk full of scratch papers is enough to ruin your focus about a certain task since you would be sub-consciously obliged to get rid of all the scratch pads before finally proceeding to your work.
- Every Fridays, take extra effort to conduct a thorough clean-up. By a thorough cleanup, we mean going as far as rust removal. Having a neat and newly disinfected desk to start your week helps set a focused and mindset. This means, you can finish all your tasks faster and in better quality.
- Make labels. Folders, envelopes and other files should be organized and labeled. This will keep further paper clutters and the like.
- Take extra precaution in your cleaning practices. It is highly encouraged that you use only natural cleaning products. These cleaners have not only been proven to be effective but also certified harmless and safe.
Keep these tips in mind and make your way to an effective workplace and a productive performance.

Nanny 101
Having a nanny can be both a good and a bad thing. Good, because finally, you’ll have someone to take good care of your little ones while you’re out working and bad, because a motherly or fatherly love is still different from a “nanny love.” But then again, we should be thankful because without our nannies, it would be difficult to make good providers of ourselves. So before you finally leave your kids behind, here are a few things to remind your nanny about.
- First and foremost, use gentle natural cleaning products as often as possible to clean up stains,
disinfectants and the like. Commercial cleaners contain chemicals which can be harmful to people, most especially to kids, and the environment. These chemicals can be acquired by the human system through inhalation or ingestion. To disinfect cleaning bottles, use only the organic cleaners as often as you can. - Limit phone calls. This may seem a little bit difficult to impose at first but then sometimes, to ensure that their 100% attention gets to your kids alone, you are left with no other choice but take the phone into the master’s bedroom.
- Make sure that their playroom is clean and rust-free all the time. Take a few minutes to disinfect their playroom and even toys. Keep cribs and toys such as bikes or skating gears rust-free using organic rust removers.
- Play with them. As a nanny, you need to get the kids to like and adore you. To do that, you need to play and talk to them. Treat them like you own. Being a nanny gives you a wonderful and fulfilling experience like you were parenting your own kids.
- Keep all your cleaners at your reach. Kids can play around all the time and they can bump into a lot of things in over minutes. This only means, you can expect a lot of spills and the like. Keep your green cleaning products ready to the rescue.
Now, you’re sure to leave your kids in good hands even in your absence.

How to clean shower curtains
Now, there’s no more excuse for you to pass up a bathroom cleanup. Whether you’re heading for work or for heading for your Friday night shindig with the girls, these quick cleaning tips can sure force you to keep spare less than 15 minutes of your time – all for shower curtains.
How to clean your curtains:
1.Grab on all only the topnotch cleaning products. Grab a few cleaning tools like your scrub, protective gloves, rags and the like.
2.Hang a new shower curtain but use the old one as a liner so you can keep the new one looking fresh all the time. To do so, simply hang the new curtain using the same hooks BUT in front of the old ones, so that from your door, your new curtains will be first to see and from your shower, what you see are the old ones. This way, the old one gets all the scum and the water beating so the new one is protected clean all the time.
3.You can get rid of all mildew by spraying disinfectant after thoroughly washing your curtains. Just be very careful when using disinfectants as this can cause some health hazards when used the wrong way. To ensure your safety, you can use green cleaning products as an alternative. They have not only been certified
effective but also proven safe.
4.To keep your shower curtains from wrinkling, wash your curtains inside your washing machine together with ½ cup of baking soda and detergent. When rinsing your curtains, add a cup of vinegar then hang the curtains right away.
5.For rust problems, all you will need is a tried-and-tested rust remover. Some rust products do not even need scrubbing or wiping. Simply spray the products and alas, the rust stains will be gone in a minute.
So what are you waiting for? Will you not trade a little appointment delay with a sparkling and clean bathroom for your ultimate relaxation?
